Participation of the Roma Association Step by Step at the 2nd International Conference “Work Integration Social Enterprises in the European Union”

The Roma Association Step by Step (Udruga Roma Korak po Korak) participated at the 2nd International Conference on Work Integration Social Enterprises in the European Union (WISE) held on Friday, 27th October 2017 in Zagreb, at the Conference Room of the House of Europe. On behalf of the Association, the President of the Association Mr. Franjo Horvat and the Secretary of the Roma National Minority Council of Koprivnica-Križevci County Mr. Shahidul Islam were present at the conference. Given that the working language of the conference was English, in the working session of presenting examples of good practice, on behalf of the Association the presentation was held by Mr. Shahidul Islam. The Association presented the project of agricultural activities of the Roma Association Step by Step, which was realized with the financial support of the city of Koprivnica. Other participants of this conference were from Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Spain and Belgium. The Association took advantage of this extraordinary opportunity to establish contacts with the participants from other EU countries for co-operation on future European projects. The audience reacted very well to the presentation of the Association.
